Pawtucket 

-Known as "the Bucket" for its rundown, generally dirty atmosphere, ghettos and abandoned mills. Only city with any real diversity along with Providence. High school, tolman, is severely overpopulated and under-achieving, has a 50% dropout rate, 60%+ minority population, their own daycare for its students' children, and even a couple of bullet holes in the cafeteria's walls.

Some Quick Facts:

-Borders Providence, Nort Providence, East Providence, Central Falls, Seekonk Ma, and South Attleboro Ma.

-Only 8.6 square miles in size. City isn't big enough to drive through anymore than 10 minutes before crossing into another city (or state).

-Home of the first textile mill of the Industrial Revolution. (Slater Mill)

-Pawtucket Redsox- Boston's AAA affiliate.

-Home of Hasbro Headquarters, where GI Joe and Mr. Potato Head were created

-Yuppie Connecticut folk are driving through Rhode Island.

Child: Mommy, can we stop for a picture with Mr. Potato Head?

Pawtucket 

A small-medium sized, 8 square mile city located in Rhode Island which is overpopulated, and offers any real diversity outside of Providence. Most people outside the state know the city for the Pawtucket Redsox where people can watch the hot young prospects of the Bosox in the newly renovated stadium.

Yuppie folk from other cities such as Barrington, Jamestown, and East Greenwich fear spending any real time in the city, and couldnt imagine sending their child to tolman high school or shea high school, among the state's worst high schools.

The parents of rich kids will speed to get out of the city while locking their doors and pulling up their windows, taking cover in Attleboro, Ma or Cumberland. Once these rich kids are home in their half million dollar houses they will download the latest hip hop/r&b Eminem or Snoop and pretend they live in Pawtucket without the fear of being beaten by a bat.

There is no real nice sections of Pawtucket, just more worse than others. The city is too small to be any real distance away from Prospect Heights or Galego Courts. The abandoned mill factories are slowly being transformed into pricy loft apartments where there is hope of brining artists into the city... an alternative to providence.

The writer/producer of Family Guy, being graduates of RISD, focuses the show out of Rhode Island, specifically Providence and Pawtucket (hence the 'toy factory' Peter works at and 'pawtucket pat', the characters' favorite brew.

Child: Can we go to a Pawsox game tonight, Mommy?

Mom: Sure, but on our way through the city make sure you dont look at anyone the wrong way and keep your doors locked."

Child: Why is that?

Mom: Its Pawtucket, hunnie.

Pawtucket 

City just north of Providence in Rhode Island, not too big, but ranked the 2nd most unsafe city/town in Rhode Island after providence in 2004-2005.
Like the city's 2 high schools, most of the population is ghetto or white trash. Known as "the bucket. There are, however, at least a couple nicer neighborhoods such as country side, darlington, and quality hill. City has produced several above average baseball and basketball players in the recent years. Home of Pawtucket Red Sox and Hasbro Toy Company (GI Joe and Mr. Potatoe Head were invented) and Slater Mill, founded in 1671. See east greenwich or Barrington if you think you're too good.

Pawtucket 

A rundown midsize previous millcity with a population of about 74000. The city is deteriorating with crime rates rising every year. The hispanic population and African Population is rising dramaticly while the white population is decreasing. Most of the crime is found in the west side of the city. The "good" sections of the city are darlington and quality hill on the east side. The high schools are considered inferior compared to the other high schools in the state. It is considered one of the three RI cities to have real diversity the others being providence and central falls.

Outsider: Im thinking about moving in where do you recommend i shall stay in Pawtucket?

1) (proper noun) a rundown milltown of 75,000 in Rhode Island populated by Roughnecks and Joeys.
2) (verb) to get sent down to the minors. It refers to the Pawtucket Red Sox, the AAA affiliate of the team in Boston.
