Pulling a billy is when you spell a word incorrectly or do not punctuate it. To save yourself from complete shame you say something along the lines of "oh SH** i just pulled a billy".
The name billy is used for this phrase, because recent studies show that if you have the name "billy" you are 4% more likely to have difficulties with spelling than with any other name. This study also showed that the average I.Q. for someone called billy was just 12, 8 lower than the 2nd lowest, Andrew.

'Pulling a billy' is to not attend an event, usually blamed on a family event e.g. 'sister's birthday' or a family outing e.g. 'the borough market' The same excuse is typically re-used over and over.
Friend no1: 'Say, where's patrick?'

Friend no2: 'I don't know, i'll phone him'

*Friend no2 phones patrick*

*Friend no2: hey patrick, where are you?
Patrick: Sorry guys, I can't make it, I have to go my sister's birthday*

*end call*

Commonly seen in TikTok comment sections in replies to lazy attempts at humor, overconfidentally incorrect statement, or an over-the-top comment or when someone completely misses the mark on something.
