A play on "Straight outta Compton" but instead of meaning coming from a raw, urban environment that cultivates a tough identity, Straight (strait) outta Hormuz is emblematic of being an inexperienced, foolish person who is unable to negotiate in an environment that is not for beginners.
It is coined in the wake of Trump's 2026 blunder of bombing Iran in a war of choice for Israel without a plan, sycophantic equilibrium, and all the unintended consequences that follow.
It may include calling it a win when you negotiate something better than how you made it worse rather than the status quo of the before state, or being unable to map an argument but still starting the fight. It is when a person is out of their depth but continues to believe they are a worthwhile adversary, rather than a seagull shitting on a chess board and flitting away squawking how they have won. It is not necessarily political in context for use.

Just like a yellowjacket wasp is more likely to become aggressive and sting in the fall, the male with FYS is prone to lash out, engage in maladaptive coping strategies such a heavy drinking/ drugging, take a renewed interest in youthful hobbies to prove he's "still got it", and repeatedly act absolutely nasty towards younger / more fulfilled people than himself whom he is envious of.
