rcmp applicants

RCMP Applicant; a person who applies to become a Royal Canadian Mounted Police officer

While awaiting the various steps needed in becoming a RCMP Officer, RCMP applicants/ candidates go through all kinds of emotions, i.e "did I disclose everything, am I fully prepared for panel interview; what about the PARE (fitness test)", and so many other things; potentially driving themselves crazy with uncertainty, anxiety, and confidence! Everything they require in order to proceed!

Only candidates know this; thus others, as supportive as they may be, don't understand; sometimes suggesting "maybe you should be a teacher, or a carpenter etc.!

s.w.a.m.p (acronym) for combatives

s - stay relaxed (keep loose)
w - weapon (fist, knee, etc..)
a - accelerate (move weapon towards)
m - move (move body) towards target area
p - plunge; follow through when/after making contact

intuitive overload

CFL - constable for life!

CFL - Constable For Life; a police constable who elects to remain a constable; not wanting to take on higher titles, i.e Sergeant, Supervisor, Inspector, Chief; preferring to work in the trenches, saying NO to a white shirt position; never forgetting where he came from; what made him!

"CFL - constable for life!"

Sergeant: "are you going to move up the law enforcement ladder any time soon there 20 yr medal"?

Constable: "nah, I'm good at what I do, enforcing the law, putting bad guys where they belong...

Sergeant: "sounds like you're part of the; CFL - constable for life"

Constable: "part of it; hell I'm the founder of it; besides, it would cut into my favourite past time of collecting shoulder flashes"! Besides, you need me to make you look good Sergeant"!
