Magitech
Technology so advanced that a contemporary human can't distinguish it from magic. Based on Arthur C. Clarke's well-known aphorism: "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."
The story never adequately explained why its universe simultaneously included old-timey cattle ranches and latrines and magitech like FTL drives.
Snapture
A concept from the Avengers comic/movie franchise, where if Thanos (the Malthusian monster who opposes the Avengers) obtains a collection of six MacGuffins (called "Infinity Stones"), he can snap his fingers to cause a randomly selected half of all life to spontaneously disappear. The word is a portmanteau of "snap" (as in, snapping one's fingers) and "Rapture" (meaning the purported Christian end times predicted in the Book of Revelations).
peak tv

Lockharting
Any pompous, narcissistic behavior by a teacher, especially the practice of requiring one's students to buy copies of one's own book. Named for Gilderoy Lockhart, the character from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, who was pompous and narcissistic and required all the students to buy copies of his various memoirs.
Dude, don't take that class -- the professor is Lockharting the students big-time. 3 of the 8 books on the syllabus are his own.
