Magitech

Technology so advanced that a contemporary human can't distinguish it from magic. Based on Arthur C. Clarke's well-known aphorism: "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."
The story never adequately explained why its universe simultaneously included old-timey cattle ranches and latrines and magitech like FTL drives.
