Dreaded disease caused by a lack of capital. Pronounced "no-MONEY-ah", punning on "pneumonia", its symptoms are: complaining about how broke one is, loss of weight because of a lack of food to eat, and general nastiness until the next paycheck comes.

A week before payday, I always come down with nomonia.

I just lost my glasses this morning, but lo and behold, it was by 'ole dippity doo-dah that I managed to find a pair of glasses that I can see out of even better than the ones I lost!
