Get the SIPmug. When a political vendetta is focused on local leaders constituents because he won't support a major politician. E.g., jamming up traffic for 1000's of constituents. Many constituents may unwittingly end up focusing their anger on the local leader, who is helpless in such a situation. The vendetta is obvious to the local leader, however it is hard to prove. When he protests he is mocked and humiliated, and made to look like a paranoid, delusional conspiracy theorist or incompetent idiot. The wide publicity from the vendetta creates an exponential impact on other non-supporters of the major politician, so they get the message and jump in line so they do not end up being humiliated, or in political gridlock.
Since the real perpetrator always has plausible deniability he can claim to be blindsided, heartbroken, embarrassed, humiliated and betrayed by his zealots, and his stupid goons. The ability of the perpetrator to transform himself into the victim by playing to people's empathy, sympathy, and by using an army of spin doctors who can saturated the media with a new image is a true accomplishment. The perpetrator's success may end up further enhancing his ability to inspire fear in those who may not aspire to come to his rescue. This works best when a complete account of conspiracy theory cannot show a direct connection, such as by a paper trail, or by testimony from stupid aides and appointees.

Powerful interests that are not subjected to normal legal proceedings, but instead are allowed to settle out of court and out of criminal charges, and keep their profits. In rare cases where prosecution and related settlements are even attempted, they seem outrageously small in relation to huge profits and the blatant disregard for the law by the perpetrators. Many would be easy to prosecute because the evidence is well documented by a large paper trail, and has thousands of potential witnesses that support the prosecutors case.
In many cases the "too bigs...." are responsible for massive amounts of damage to the economy and creating devastating personal losses for hundreds of thousands of people.

The banks have developed a fail safe way of robbing and defrauding their customers and tax payers, by pleading they are too big to fail, and too big to be punished.

Get the gigafiremug. The exploitation of digital media to unfairly influence the outcome or to create an unjust result. It can be a form of cheating and illicit practices that take advantage of and exploit media users. In some cases, media users are programmed to go viral with misinformation or disinformation. Much like when an arson strikes a match when the conditions are favorable for a wildfire to spread in ways that are most damaging to the environment.
The Russians have learned quickly that they can positively influence the outcome of an election through digital exploitation. much easier than conventional war. Surprisingly they have the help of a large minority of the public who support their candidate right or wrong.
