Facebook Friend Faction Management

The phrase to describe a situation where you have a large number of facebook 'friends,' some of whom know things about you that they could post that you do not want other friends to know about.

This is a situation best managed by having the correct privacy settings, deleting some of your friends off Facebook and not initiating any posts yourself, thereby preventing a situation where a friend reveals a fact about you that you do not wish someone else knowing about.

Oh sh*t! The surprise party for Fiona will be no surprise if i dont delete that post I made with the comment from Dave about bringing the drinks on Thursday! Time for some Facebook Friend Faction Management!

Pedestriocore

'Safe' and non extreme dance music that is tailored to a large audience, normally involving a wide age range due to it being an event such as a wedding, works do in a function room etc etc. Consists of 'safe' classics such as YMCA and 'Agadoo' but contains enough 'classics' like 'Thriller' to avoid being called 'cheese.'

You going to an underground club after this? I cant stand this pedestriocore much longer!

ash bandit

Hangers on at a public bonfire and firework display who wish to stay until the early hours, throwing things on the fire, when everyone else has gone home. Usually teenagers or NEETS who do not have to be up for work the following day and often stoners.

Over police intercom

'Roger 1 2 just going round the park to check for ash bandits over'

IDF

IDF is an acronym for 'intelligent dance floor,' a form of house music popularised from the year 2017 when the Ministry of Sound in London installs its first dance floor that gives real time feedback to the DJ on the force applied by dancers feet and how accurately they are following the rhythm - and by extension their tiredness. This allows the DJ to better suit the music to the mood of the crowd. The actual music consistes of a mixture of original and remixed tracks that can easily change speed, without any of the accompanying 'cheesy' pitch changes. By 2020, IDF is able to operate without a DJ which leads to some very intersting phenomena, such as where a soul night is trashing out high speed terrorcore later in the night and hardcore raves that have slowed down to Classiclock!

Man I loved that IDF night at Gatecrasher. We went in to some gentle late 80s house and we went through trance, happy hardcore, gabba and slowed it right back down to some minimal techno later in the night!

decoupling

The act of doing something major in your life with friends and family being unaware of it due to your lack of informing them. Often this is due to fear of what they may think, particularly if you fail at it.

'Sorry the job interview was a decoupling one. I didnt want to tell you I was looking for a new jonb unless I got the head of science post at Canesworth Academy!'

chromenclature

Like nomenclature, chromenclature means the accepted colour coding system for a group of objects. Eg. in organic chemistry, carbon is black, hydrogen is white, oxygen is red etc
