TWISTEX

The abbreviation of the Tactical Weather-Instrumented Sampling in/near Tornadoes Experiment, a storm chasing research project founded by Tim Samaras, aimed to deploy probes into tornadoes. However, it all came to a sad end on May 31, 2013, when all three members of the group died to an EF5 tornado.

TWISTEX provided valueable research to tornado formation. It was a shame that they had died.

El Reno

A small town just west of the OKC Metropolitan area, mostly famous for inventing the fried onion burger. It is also located on Route 66, being a major destination. It was also the site of the largest tornado ever recorded, in 2013.

El Reno is my hometown. I love being there!
