Down Mexico way 

Australian slang for the state of Victoria, Australia. Generally used by citizens of NSW and Queensland in a mildly derogatory or joking nature, but occasionally used by citizens of Victoria while in one of the other states.
"The weather down Mexico way is looking pretty bad"
"Eh, that figures"
