Devilman

Early, iconic Manga/Anime series by Go Nagai from the late 70's. The story is about Akira, a shy, somewhat spineless teenager who discovers a demon mask from ancient Mayan civilizations and becomes a demonic hero setting out to fight other demons.

Notable fans of the series include Glenn Danzig and Rob Zombie.

Devilman kicks serious ass! If your into anime like Elfen Lied and Hellsing then this series is for you.

The Deep Web

Describes low key sites on the web or unknown content on a well known site that is weird in nature and/or extremely hard, if not impossible, to understand why such content even exists.

The term curiosity killed the cat applies well with this term-and let me tell you, the deep web will show that not only was the cat killed, but subject to things I could be sent to jail for if I were to describe them on a site like UD.

My friend ventured into the deep web on an acid trip, and now thinks Chim Chim from Speed Racer is out to rape and kill him.

A TV network no one under 30 seemed to know existed before the premiers of Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead.

2007: Oh cool tonight Stripes is on-AMC? LOL I have no idea what channel that is.

2013: Oh cool tonight Stripes is on AMC, followed by episodes of Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead.

Big Black

Influential Punk Rock/Noise Rock band from Evanston, Il (a small city/community bordering Chicago to the North). Lasted from 1981-1987, released the two albums "Atomizer" and "Songs about Fucking". Often considered fathers of Industrial Rock. Noted for featuring Steve Albini.

Big Black are the 2nd best band from Chicago, losing the top spot only to Ministry.

Surfin' Bird

Song by early Garage Rock/Rock n Roll band The Trashmen from their debut album of the same name. The Ramones did a terrific cover of it on their "Rocket to Russia" album.

A great song indeed. Sadly most kids today only know about it due to it's use on an episode of "Family Guy".

Kid A: What are you listening to?

Kid B: Surfin' Bird

Kid A: Sweet! Which version, The Trashmen or The Ramones?

Kid B: Ummm...Peter Griffin's?

Kid A: You mean The Trashmen's version.

Busted

A Pop-Rock band (with a very Punk look) from England that originally existed from 2000-2005. They released the albums "Busted" in 2002 and "A present for everyone" in 2003. Their most notable hits include "Year 3000" and "What I go to school for" which have since been ruined by the Jonas Brothers unfortunatly. After the band split, all their members went their own way, with Charlie Simpson being the most successful as frontman of the Post-Hardcore group Fightstar.

Since 2009 their have been talks among fans and even band members of a potential reunion, though Simpson has made it clear he has no intention on rejoining the band.

Busted are a pretty cool group, but I prefer Fightstar.

MLA Format

Stupid, pointless method for writing a paper and citing your sources. Dictates that every little detail must be done in a certain way and if you make the smallest mistake then you deserve to fail (and be expelled if your in college).

The paper took me only a half hour, but I ended up spending all night correcting it because of the stupid MLA format rules.
