Q101

Chicago's Alternative. Created 1992, 101.1 on the dial. Played some great music. In the later years it did have a problem with overplaying certain songs, but always knew when to surprise listeners with great songs they hardly play.

In June 2011, Randy Michaels, former CEO of Chicago-based Tribune Co. purchased the station (along with another Chicago based station 97.9 The Loop) and announced plans to turn the format into a News-Talk station on August 1st. However, all normal programming stopped on July 14, with former DJs returning and many older songs rarely played anymore being played. The final show ended just after midnight, with music being played without DJs until July 18.
Q101 was a fantastic station. Fuck Randy Michaels for killing it for something stupid like a talk station.

MTV

From 1981-1997, MTV was a great network, playing great (and sometimes not so great) music and good programming, most notably Beavis and Butthead. However, around 1997, MTV started focusing on Pop music, shifting away from the Rock music that made them famous, and canceling Beavis and Butthead (though fortunately brought it back in 2011). While MTV did air decent reality shows in the early part of the 21st century like Jackass and Viva La Bam, it was mainly focused on crap-tacular programs like Room Raiders. Then in 2009 started the era of their worst programs-crap like Teen Mom, 16 and Pregnant, and worst of all Jersey Shore. MTV is now a network of complete filth and is in need of a complete overhaul.
MTV was once a great network for music but now focuses on the most mind-numbing crap imaginable.

Good Vibes

A cool new animated series on MTV (yes THAT MTV) about Mondo, a chubby 15 year old boy from New Jersey who moves to Southern California and struggles to fit in while trying to impress a girl named Jeena.

The series premiered on MTV on October 27, 2011, the same night Beavis and Butthead made their glorious return to TV. Both shows are a significant departure from some of the complete shit that's been on the network in recent years.
The return of Beavis and Butthead and the premire of Good Vibes might be enough to help get MTV out of the mud and return it to it's glorious format it had in the nineties.

One Direction

Crappy Ass Pop/Boy Band act, only famous for winning The X Factor, who are really just another manufactured "band" put there for girls to go crazy over.
One Direction have no place in the world of music-and just like their predecessors (Bieber, Jonas Brothers, Backstreet Boys, etc.) their success will fade soon and within a year or two they will be all but forgotten.

Inner Suburb

Used to define a suburb of a big city that shares borders with it and, thus, acts more like a neighborhood of the city rather than it's own community.

Inner suburbs tend to have more nightlife, independent stores, and overall fun things to do than most normal suburbs, though (obviously) usually still have much less than the actual city. They also tend to have at least one decent mode of transportation into the city itself.
Yonkers, NY, Evanston, IL, Santa Monica, CA, and Cambridge, MA are all good examples of Inner Suburbs

Team Fortress 2

Single handedly the most fun online game ever. Puts two teams (RED and BLU) of nine unique classes (Scout, Soldier, Heavy, Spy, Pyro, Sniper, Engineer, Demoman, and Medic) against each other. A sequel to the Quake mod Team Fortress (released as a standalone game called Team Fortress Classic), TF2 (as it is commonly abbreviated) was originally announced in 1998 for a '99 release. However, as Valve is prone to doing (see Valve Time), development of the game was stopped and started repeatedly for nine years until 2006, when the current version of the game was unveiled at E3 an While the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions are very fun, the PC/Mac version is the best, as it is often updated to include new maps, game modes, weapons, and accessories.
I got an F on my exam because I stayed up all night playing Team Fortress 2. Totally worth it.

The Critic

One of the greatest animated sitcoms ever, that sadly only lived to see two seasons. Created by Al Jean and Mike Reiss, two of the head writers of The Simpsons, the series starred Jon Lovitz as Jay Sherman, a fat film critic with very high standards that causes him to give bad reviews to practically every movie he reviews. The series was also known for it's jokes about pop culture, politics, and practically everything else about life back in the mid-90s

The first season aired on ABC in 1994, was cancelled after the end of the season, but picked up by FOX for season 2 in 1995, which saw a rise in viewership, but ultimately ended in cancellation as well (plans for a third season on UPN fell through, though a series of internet shorts were made in 2000).
The Critic was-and still is-a fantastic series-I hope whoever decided to cancel it got fired.
