A precocious basketball player who came to the NBA in 1996, plays to this day for the LA Lakers, has been to 7 championships and won 5, two of them without Shaquille O´neal. In the summer of 2003, he was accused of rape, but was found innocent of rape and guilty of adultery. In my opinion, the 2nd best player next to Michael Jordan.

In Euclidean geometry, a parallelogram is a simple (non self-intersecting) quadrilateral with two pairs of parallel sides. The opposite or facing sides of a parallelogram are of equal length and the opposite angles of a parallelogram are of equal measure. The congruence of opposite sides and opposite angles is a direct consequence of the Euclidean Parallel Postulate and neither condition can be proven without appealing to the Euclidean Parallel Postulate or one of its equivalent formulations. The three-dimensional counterpart of a parallelogram is a parallelepiped.
The etymology (in Greek παραλληλ-όγραμμον, a shape "of parallel lines") reflects the definition.
A simple (non self-intersecting) quadrilateral is a parallelogram if and only if any one of the following statements is true:12
Two pairs of opposite sides are equal in length.
Two pairs of opposite angles are equal in measure.
The diagonals bisect each other.
One pair of opposite sides are parallel and equal in length.
Adjacent angles are supplementary.
Each diagonal divides the quadrilateral into two congruent triangles.
The sum of the squares of the sides equals the sum of the squares of the diagonals. (This is the parallelogram law.)
It has rotational symmetry of order 2.

What are you studying Jane?
Oh, I am studying quadrilaterals, specifically I am on Chapter 5 proving a quadrilateral is a Parallelogram, Claire.

Did you see that pass from Steve Young to Jerry Rice?
Yeah, did you see what Jerry Rice did after that.
Yeah, thats vintage Jerry Rice.

Logic (from the Greek λογική, logikē)1 refers to both the study of modes of reasoning (which are valid and which are fallacious)2 and the use of valid reasoning. In the latter sense, logic is used in most intellectual activities, including philosophy and science, but in the first sense, is primarily studied in the disciplines of philosophy, mathematics, semantics, and computer science. It examines general forms that arguments may take. In mathematics, it is the study of valid inferences within some formal language.3 Logic is also studied in argumentation theory.4
Logic was studied in several ancient civilizations, including India,5 China,6 and Greece. In the west, logic was established as a formal discipline by Aristotle, who gave it a fundamental place in philosophy. The study of logic was part of the classical trivium, which also included grammar and rhetoric.
Logic is often divided into three parts, inductive reasoning, abductive reasoning, and deductive reasoning.

What are you working on Charles?
Oh, I am doing logic homework!
What is it about?
Oh, its a subject about reasoning in a logical manner, I am doing a proof that involves the transitive property of equality.
