Manrock

A form of heavy metal / hard rock which consontraites on writing about blokish type subjects; cars, motorbikes, war, sex, fighting etc. Normally they are european based acts, but there are exceptions. The viking chorus is the most noticable of all manrock cleches
Saxon, Manowar, Thor, Twisted Sister, Dio and Slave Raider are all examples of manrock bands.

fair and balanced

A media term. An ideal which all newspapers, TV stations and other media should aspire too. This means giving equal air time column inches etc to all sides of the arguement. However in the world of commercial media cartels this ideal is sacrificed on the alter of the profit margin, political influence and self interest.

These days to gain a fair and balanced view of current events it is best to source your news from a number of different sources that offer as wider range of opinions as possible and make your own mind up.
Newscaster "Do you think this war is the correct course of action?"

English slang.

Pin Money, extra household income, normally earned by the house wife in a part time cleaning or shop job, used to pay for extra's like holidays and special occasions.

ogre

1) Mythological humanoid creature. Orginated from the old English kingdom of Cornwall. Orginally said to be the size of a large man and fed off human flesh, but now taken to be some kind of small giant

2) A vindictive individual, an unreasonable person.
My boss is such an ogre, he made me ork late three times last week and refuses to pay overtime.
