A neutral reference to a person, usually but not always, implying a thug or fighter.

Gurn

-To make a grotesque face; grimace.
-To make a ridiculous or unpleasant facial expression.
Scots dialect, variant of “grin” from Middle English “grine” from Old English “gryn”
Used in a sentence:

“Despite the cooking classes, her cooking always makes Mr. Pendleton gurn.”

Chatter, shouts or shouting. Noise.

"Where's that barrikin coming from?"

Barmy 

Insane. Barmies are insane folks, especially those suffering from severe trauma.

"The too much trauma will drive a body barmy."

Barkle 

Nonsense, or something that would be laughably passed off as such.

"Trickle-down economics is just sheer barkle, cut taxes to the rich and they just shift the extra money to off-shore bank accounts."

To give word, to betray.

"They knew we were coming. Some berk barked."

Bar That 

An almost-polite way to say "shut up" or "don't talk about that."

It's quick, to the point, and can be used as a warning: "Bar that, there's a cop over there!"
