The idea that an individual being a supporter of the Republicans or Democrats can give that individual more power and influence than an individual who is a supporter of a nonmainstream political party or an individual who practices political neutrality, because of the fact that most people will be more likely to respect, listen to, and value the opinion of an individual is a supporter of the Republicans or Democrats than an individual who is a supporter of a nonmainstream political party or an individual who practices political neutrality.
Kenny: I heard that Britany had a disagreement with Dylan because some views of his views about climate change didn’t entirely match the views held by her and certain Democratic leaders. They both believe that climate change is occurring, but, because his views didn’t match her views, she refused to even hear him out as to why he held those views and kept shooting down his ideas as to why climate change was occurring.
Isabell: I know that Britany is very strong supporter of the Democratic party and that Dylan is a supporter of the Green Rainbow Party. Britany doesn’t respect of people’s views on political issues unless the individual is a Democrat. A lot of people listen to what she has to say on various political issues, but they seldom listen to what Dylan has to say.
Kenny: Agreed. It sounds like Britany and some other people’s political identity privilege is showing.

abbreviation: P.U.S.; The only members of the U.S. Congress to belong to nonmainstream political parties or registered as independent for a long period of time between 1971- 2021. They are Representative James Stanton, Senator Bernard Sanders, Senator Angus King Jr., Senator James Jeffords, Delegate Victor Frazer, Resident Commissioner Baltasar Corrada, Senator Harry Byrd Jr., Senator Dean M. Barkley, and Representative Justin Amash. All of them were independent, but Justin Amash changed to a Libertarian during his last year in office due to the barrage of partisan bickering from the Republicans and Democrats, which he was the first Libertarian to have held a seat in congress.
Why does the Political Underdog Squad matter so much? Because these politicians are the only politicians in Congress, over a fifty year period, be members nonmainstream political parties, which helps to keep the two mainstream parties in check.

A gesture to how difficult it can be to try to balance pursuing your own and your party’s goals with people with pleasing enough of your constituents to get reelected
Representative Titus is walking on a political tightrope when trying to support certain ideas being pushed by her party as it may make it difficult for to get reelected in future elections as she might lose support from some her constituents depending on what issues she supports.

Aka. P.D.S.; A major social and political problem where an individual to identify as being a supporter of one political party and or ideology, but then changes their identity and or ideology done often times to better align with their values and beliefs. Rather than accept their identity as being part of who they are and move on, the individual will strenuously deny that they ever had that identity and will overtly take political stances and mobilize on issues that are consistent with what their new political identity; in order to make their new identity seem more legitimate to themselves and other people and or to help them deal with the fact they feel embarrassed and or guilty because of their former political identity. People with this often times endure a lot of fear that people will not see them as being a legitimate supporter of the new political party and or ideology they use, emotional and mental restlessness caused by their belief they have to actively work to make up for their former identity, and or intense guilt for having their previous identity.
Marvin: Why does Stacy always seem to talk about politics. I understand that she is passionate about her beliefs, but she does not need to talk about it constantly.
Janet: I think she has political denial syndrome. If I’m recalling correctly, she used to be a republican, but after having some issues related to Trump’s actions and the capital riots her beliefs shifted to strongly favoring the democrats. Because of all the things the republicans did and the fact she had backed them in the past, she may feel that she has to make up for having that identity because she may feel indirectly responsible for what happened because she voted some of the politicians responsible for it. It could also be that she could be embarrassed by her former identity and her actively discussing her views is one of the ways she deals with discomfort.
Marvin: No offense, but, in a way, it almost sounds like she could need counselor or a good friend to talk to help her deal with her discomfort and stress if that is the case.
Janet: Yes, I think your right about that.

An old, extensive series of social norms and expectations that indicate what types of behaviors and social practices are and are not acceptable in various social situations. A majority of the rules employed in the modern properness system come from medieval times and were first created in Europe. There are different rules for males and females, regarding how they are to treat each other and behave in each other’s presences; what gender an individual identifies as determines which gender type of rules they are expected to follow. Many of the rules are out of date with times and tend to be quite biased against the poor, women, LGBTQ people, people with disabilities and other species.
The properness etiquette system is in urgent need of reform in order to make it more up to date with the times, more effective, and less biased against various populations.

A process where a politician, political commentator, and or government official is working on naming a new phenomenon or issue directly or indirectly related to politics in the hopes of raising awareness of that issue and or getting public opinion to shift in a certain way
Many politicians practice political nomenclature in order to push their agenda, address certain societal problems, and get the constituents from their district to reelect them.
