Peter Pan Syndrome

A major psychological and social issue that arises when an adult avoids the personal and professional responsibilities of being an adult. Some of the symptoms include difficulty expressing emotions, procrastination and unclear or poorly defined life goals, and "magical thinking" around mistakes or responsibilities, blaming others for their problems, have difficulty forming a deep connection with people, often desperate to find a partner but has difficulty maintaining meaningful relationships, and trying to escape their reality to make their problems disappear. The person’s maturity level usually does not match their age.
Ivan is twenty-seven, but has not graduated college, does not have many close friends, can’t seem to maintain romantic relationships for long periods of time, and tends to procrastinate a lot to avoid taking care of important responsibilities. He appears to have Peter Pan Syndrome.

Romantic minute

When you see your partner after a very long time of not seeing them, which typically occurs after a tour of duty in the military or a year of service that is served far away from your home after college, and you pull them aside for a minute or two to tell them how much you missed them, that you love them, and just to take a chance give your partner a little physical affection considering they may be craving it after not being with you for so long.
Zachary: I’m happy your back from your tour of duty. I am guessing your happy to be back home.
Pedro: Yes, I am happy to be home after such a long time of being away. Would you excuse me and Britany for a minute?
Zachary: Sure.
(Pedro and Britany walk a short distance away. They begin talking to each other quietly. Pedro puts his arms around Britany and kisses her briefly.)

Zachary: Are you guys ready to go?
Britany: Yes, we are.

Zachary: What we were you guys doing anyway? Was something wrong?
Pedro: No, we were taking a romantic minute. I have not seen Britany in a year to a year and half. I really missed her.
Zachary: I see.

Human privilege

The idea that humans have better access to decent quality healthcare and health insurance, have more access to certain cities, towns, counties, and countries, and issues greatly affecting them are prioritized more frequently in political agendas, regardless of the political identity of those in power, than those affecting other species, despite how some of them can negatively impact the health of a large number of people. Hence, being human can at times be a source of privilege.
Karen: My dad had to go to hospital the other day. It took me five to seven minutes to find a hospital to take him to, which surprised me. I wasn't expecting it to take that long to find him a hospital.
Aaron: I glad you were able to find one in time. You're lucky believe it or not. According to what I heard at one point, it can take up to twenty to twenty five minutes to find an animal hospital that is open twenty-four hours a day. A lot of people often don't realize just how much more accessible and high quality the human healthcare system compared to the animal healthcare system. Its a major example of human privilege.
Karen: In that case you are right, I was very lucky.

Interfaith couple

A couple where each partner practices a different religion/s.
Emelia, who is Buddhist, is dating Victor, who is a Zoroastrian. They are an interfaith couple.

Lost city

1: A name for a city or town that has had all of its religious institutions shut down either due to being over run by heavy taxation or strict discriminatory policies made by the government that heavily restrict what various religions can and can’t do to the point where they are unable to operate in that area
2: The city that supposedly sank into the ocean many years ago off the coast of Greece, or in other words Atlantis
According to the Smithsonian YouTube channel, the lost city of Atlantis is suspected of possibly being a town buried underground called Akrotiri on the Mediterranean island of Santorini.

Senator Moninclair is a political recluse; for she rarely interacts with people from the area she was elected to serve.

Weekends are for the pets

Aka. W.A.F.T.P.; A gesture that you should take some time out of your busy week to spend time your pets. You have been at work all week and you have barely spent any time with your pets. As we all know to five to six hours at home, in the late afternoon and evening, when your awake, is not much time; and on weekdays you usually have a lot of other things to take care of long before you can spend some time with your family and pets. If you have time to hang out with a bunch of your male friends to watch sports and drink, which for the record you could do any day of the week, not just Saturdays, then you have time to stay home, spend time with your family, including your pets, and have a good time together. The physical and emotional needs of your pets and your family come first. Even if you are not dating or married, if you have pet, you should be ensuring that their needs are being met adequately, before you go and hang out with your friends; and you should be spending a descent amount of time with your pet so they know that you care about them.
In some random conversation,
Boyfriend: I am going over to Kenny's house to watch football tonight.

Girlfriend: But you have not spent any time with me and Pabu all week. You should stay home and spend some time with us. We could a movie together.
Boyfriend: Sorry, but Saturdays are for the boys.

Girlfriend: Seriously. That is your reason. Sorry, but as far as I'm concerned weekends are for the pets. Please stay with me. You should spend more time with Pabu. He's your dog too.
Boyfriend: Okay. I'll spend the evening with you two then.
