When two players kill each other at the same time. Most likely caused by the weapons being delayed instant-kills, such as rocket launchers, but can more rarely happen with hitscan weapons (i.e. weapons with no projectile travel time) should the players fire at the EXACT same time. Environmental explosives (e.g. explosive barrels) or being in a heavily damaged vehicle (e.g. rocket launcher vs. car) can increase the likelihood.

In a duel or two-team match where the most kills wins, the trade kill results in no net gain of points since both teams earn a point. However, in the rare case where one more kill will result in victory, even a trade will result in the leading team getting the victory. Some game modes only provide score for kills on certain criteria (e.g. headshots), which will make a net zero-score trade kill harder, if not impossible, to get.
In Halo 3, I saw a dramatic trade kill. Two Choppers from different teams boosted into one another. Since Choppers can even destroy other Choppers with their ram attack, both Choppers blew up and the drivers died.

"Spawn Mobbed" past, "Spawn Mobbing" gerund. When you spawn with several enemies around you and then are promptly attacked and killed.
If the enemies are the newly-spawned, this is a Reverse Spawn Mob. If you kill the enemies without dying, this is a Reverse Spawn Massacre. If both of the previous criteria, it's a Spawn Massacre.

Similar: Spawn Kill, Kill Spawn, Reverse Spawn Kill, Spawn-to-Spawn Kill
My gosh, I just spawned and was promptly shredded by three players with SMGs! Spawn mob, anyone?

You would not believe what just happened! I just spawned and was walking out into the fray when someone else spawned right in front of me with a rocket launcher and blasted me to bits! Spawn-to-spawn kills can be insane.

Short for "Suspicious". Sus garnered more use when the popularity of Among Us exploded in July and August 2020, and as such, an Among Us example is used below.
EMERGENCY MEETING!
Blue: I swear, Black used a vent!
Yellow: IDK, man, Red seems kinda sus...

Getting multiple kills with a single bullet since the bullet passed through one enemy and hit the other(s). Originated from the military term for unintended consequences of military operations.

In some shooters, this is either completely impossible or only possible under certain circumstances. For example, you can only get collateral kills in Splatoon 2 with charger-class weapons.
In some shooters, certain weapons might still qualify for collateral damage despite having splash damage. For example, the Spartan Laser in Halo qualifies for collateral damage because the laser can pierce through players.

Alternatives: Pierce Kills, Penetration Kills, Chain Kills, One-Bullet Combos, X Birds with One Stone/Bullet
Shortened: Collateral
(from a YouTube video)
Oh, baby a triple! Oh yeah! And that was my triple collateral in Free-For-All.

(custom example)
Would you believe that some player with a charger got insane collateral damage on us?! One shot with the E-Liter, and my team was wiped. We lost that Turf War HARD.

Getting a kill shortly after (re)spawning, or being killed by someone/something that just (re)spawned or became visible.
Can be abbreviated to RSK. Some call this a "Kill Spawn".
I was driving down the road in GTA on a bike when, out of nowhere, an empty plane spawned in a hangar and crushed me. Ouch. But I did get a laugh from that reverse spawn kill.
