The thing nobody brings up but everybody notices is too tall of a tale to be true.

The giraffe in the room said that guy was 6'5", and he was persuasive enough that people almost believed him, he told them he carried himself like he was 6'5", but after a while they started to notice and suspect that he was not really 6'5". They thought he looked more remarkable on TV, but in real life, he was about as mundane looking as someone could get, almost like a toad. Someone that most people forgot about after about 5 seconds.

Mr. Bean 

For the people that like a good joke but wonder how funny is this when a crook that looks like Mr. Bean puts a knife to their throat, that isn't the most hilarious thing that could happen to somebody. A Mr. Bean lookalike with the same menacing look hovering over somebody with the twin movie prop mini uzis is funnier than that actually.

Mr. Bean was not a gentleman in that movie, he was a bad seed.

People trying to graduate from sock puppets to meat puppets, live human beings.

The spaceballs were trying to transform people into their puppets and guinea pigs, and their towns into their stages.

astroturf 

A group of people pretending to be friends with each other (mostly for show) to project an image of togetherness, popularity, social skills/lives, unity, or support for each other. Fake it til you make it and become a real puppet master is the motto of an astroturf creator that really seems to believe that the turf they claimed as their own is really theirs to claim, offer others, or burn down, cut down, or demolish if they don't get their way or dollar signs.

He/she must have come from a planet where astroturf grows wild, because since he/she got here, he/she put down lots of it.

He was the cult enemy of her yoga cult, and she claimed that they all had to be sub serviant to him and call him sir or boss.
