The term describes a combination of a picky, unrefined eater and a pretentious "wine snob" who actually knows nothing about wine. It targets someone who aggressively tries to fake culinary sophistication to impress others, despite having a completely clueless and basic understanding of taste. A person described as a "palatard" will typically:

Pretend to be an expert: They confidently throw around fancy terminology like "tannins", "terroir", or "notes of oak" without having any actual idea what those concepts mean.

Fail at describing flavors: When put on the spot, they make nonsensical or wildly inaccurate descriptions of what they are drinking, instantly exposing their lack of a refined palate.

Mask their ignorance with confidence: They desperately crave the social status of being seen as sophisticated, but end up looking foolish to anyone with actual knowledge.

Revert to childish tastes: Outside of trying to show off, they secretly prefer completely plain, bland, or sweet comfort foods and show a stubborn refusal to genuinely experience complex flavor profiles.

In short, it describes someone who is severely stunted in their ability to appreciate food and drink, but too prideful and pretentious to admit it.
"He has absolutely no idea what he's talking about—he’s such a palatard."

2000s kind of “squash” just like the yuppies during the 80’s everyone wanted to play it but sucked at it. Trend sport without any real heart into it. Just as boring as badminton, curling, lacrosse, bowling and so on…

Carbonese

Pasta dish Invented by a Swedish super dad who was ”less” (tired) of making (and eating) pasta carbonara every damn day. So one day he made them bolognese and the kids complained. As the super human he is he made them carbonara but mixed in bolognese (fuck traditions!) Shut up and eat kids! and man did they eat…
Any idea what I should make for dinner?
Carbonese is always a good choice!
