The empty minded guy was from California, a land where he thought you could trust everybody you meet, since everybody he met seemed perfect to him. People tend to continue to get other people to assume you trust each other if you don't ever think to tell anybody otherwise.

A guy who goes around dressed in a shining armor costume and says he's a dragonslayer.

The guy came up with a lot of stuff while goofing around, he said he had slain 6 dragons already, really he was a fraud first and a knight was something he pretended to be to fuck with people.

A guy from California who thinks nobody he had ever met in life had ever tried to capitalize off a perceived weakness of his. Nobody had ever thought he was oblivious to their true agenda in life, everybody he met was perfect and wonderful.

The empty minded guy seemed to trust everybody he met, though people considered him ignorant, and his existence blissful.

Succubus

A girl that tries to take all the fight out of everyone she meets until either everybody around her has as little fight in them as she does in her, or anybody who does keep going ends up turned against each other.

The guy might have kept himself on track, but got distracted unknowingly by the succubus trying to drain all his life force out until she could stop him in his tracks.
