Disappointed

You could never be let down by someone you never believed in or trusted in in the first place.
The guy knew not to ever trust in or believe in her, so their had never been any sense of disappointment with her. He knew her too well to be disappointed about anything she did.

Insanity

Thinking that trying to do the same thing five different ways is going to change the result.
The people behind the leadership had tried the nice way and five other ways to get people to do something and kept getting the same resistance and the same result, which was their own insanity.

Wildfire

A wildfire is intense, but usually short lived, most dont last, they go and fuck themselves. Every now and then you have one that lasts well over a year, but not hundreds or thousands of years. At some point, it burns out. Fuel isnt renewable, once its burned up, it's gone for good.
Wildfire lasts a while, then life goes on when its finished.

Embarrassed

Theres no point in getting embarrassed by something you already did. Shit happens.

Peer pressure

Trying to get somebody to do something based on what everyone else is doing, thinks is safe, or thinks someone should do.
Most people wear masks, and some think that peer pressure, or even something worse than peer pressure (like deaths) is going to change the way somebody else does things, especially if peer pressure convinced them to put on a mask.
