lipslide 

A skateboarding trick, like a boardslide, except you get on by putting your back truck over the rail first.
Lipslides. These should be learned after F/S Boardslides.

boardslide 

A skateboarding trick where you ollie, pull your front truck over the rail, and slide on your deck, perpendicular to the rail. Arguably the easiest grind trick.
The first grind trick my brother learned was the boardslide.

Crooked grind 

A skateboarding trick where you ollie onto a rail, land your front truck on the rail, and grind the rail at about a 45 degree angle. Not a beginner trick.

Known for: Ollieing the Leap of Faith, flipping large stair sets, and large handrails.

skate poser 

One who pretends to be a skateboarder. Most of these people are preps. These people can be recognized by their preppy status, and by their clothes. The brands most popular among posers are DC shoes, Element/Bam, and sometimes Circa.
Dude, Mary is such a poser. Yesterday, she was her normal preppy self, and now she is wearing DC.
