Raul Terra's definitions
A term steeped in the tradition of cringe-inducing humor, synonymous with painfully punny jokes and facepalm-worthy punchlines. "Guano a Guano" takes its inspiration from a pun on the Spanish phrase literally meaning "bat poop to bat poop," humorously interpreted as "bat to bat." This is a play on the English expression "mano a mano", meaning "hand to hand."
At the family reunion, Uncle Bob went full "guano a guano" with his barrage of cheesy jokes, much to the amusement (and discomfort) of his audience.

1. (noun) An unofficial, unique holiday celebrated on May 30th each year. Participants go outdoors and shout "Hey!" into the surrounding area, simulating a dog bark but replacing the traditional "woof" with a human "Hey!". This action is not meant to mimic dogs, but rather, serves as a distinctive, playful, and quirky form of human communication.
2. Participants, sometimes referred to as "Hey-barkers", do not simply shout into the wind; they expectantly wait for returning "Heys" from others in the vicinity, creating a sort of call-and-response exchange. The tradition has taken root primarily due to the rise of social media trends, and it has since blossomed into a unique celebration of community, spontaneity, and humor.
Example of usage:
John (barking out from his backyard): "Hey! Hey!"
Neighbor: "What's going on, John?"
John: "Didn't you know? It's National Hey Day! I'm waiting for a returning 'Hey!'"
Neighbor (laughing): "Oh, right! Well, then, Hey! Hey!"

The Tutu Effect: n. The phenomenon of misremembering the Mandela Effect, named after Archbishop Desmond Tutu, who many people falsely remember as being Nelson Mandela. This is often caused by confusing the two prominent South African leaders who were active during the anti-apartheid movement. Can also refer to misremembering details about other events or people that are similar in nature. Additionally, it can also refer to meta-irony, where people recognize that they are having a 'Tutu Effect' moment.
I was convinced that Charlize Theron was in the movie 'Aeon Flux' but my friend corrected me and said it was actually Margot Robbie. I must have fallen victim to the Tutu Effect.

Hewlett's Law:
A phenomenon that describes the tendency of innovative tech giants to eventually lose their edge and resort to manufacturing printers as a means of sustaining their business. The term is named after Hewlett-Packard (HP), one of the earliest and most innovative companies in the tech industry, which eventually became known primarily for its printers.
As companies grow and become more established, they often become more risk-averse and less focused on innovation. This can lead to a decline in their ability to stay ahead of the curve and adapt to changing market conditions. Eventually, these companies may find themselves struggling to remain relevant and profitable, and may turn to more reliable revenue streams like printer manufacturing.
Hewlett's Law serves as a cautionary tale for tech companies, reminding them of the importance of maintaining a culture of innovation and staying ahead of the curve in order to avoid becoming irrelevant and relegated to manufacturing products that are seen as commodities.
