Appstinate

The stubborn refusal to give into the ever-growing plague of phone apps, based on an enlightened understanding of their redundant, siloed, and often privacy-invading nature.

Used to describe someone who actively rebels against the tsunami of bloatware, refuses to be another sheep in the herd of app redundancy, and generally believes that smartphones were better when they weren't weighed down by a million "essential" apps.

Note: Appstinate individuals may experience higher levels of battery life, reduced screen time, and a smug sense of superiority when hearing complaints about storage space. Side effects may include missing out on fleeting app trends that nobody remembers after two weeks.
Mike's appstinate attitude means his phone has more free storage than the entire App Store.

While everyone else was busy downloading the newest fad app, Jenna remained proudly appstinate, recognizing that she didn't need another digital leech sucking her battery and personal data.

Just because there's an app for that doesn't mean you need it. Be appstinate. Resist the urge.

Guano a Guano

A term steeped in the tradition of cringe-inducing humor, synonymous with painfully punny jokes and facepalm-worthy punchlines. "Guano a Guano" takes its inspiration from a pun on the Spanish phrase literally meaning "bat poop to bat poop," humorously interpreted as "bat to bat." This is a play on the English expression "mano a mano", meaning "hand to hand."
At the family reunion, Uncle Bob went full "guano a guano" with his barrage of cheesy jokes, much to the amusement (and discomfort) of his audience.

Taewonon

1. (noun) A unique, somewhat satirical martial art style that combines traditional martial arts techniques with the art of being slightly tipsy. 2. (verb) To engage in any activity (not necessarily martial arts) with a slight buzz, believing that it enhances performance.
1. (noun) "I just joined a Taewonon class; it's hilarious! We actually sip beer and then practice our kicks. It's all about finding that balance between tipsy and focused."

2. (verb) "I totally Taewononed my presentation last night. A couple of glasses of wine and I was cracking jokes and making points with a confidence I never knew I had!"

Hewlett's Law

Hewlett's Law:

A phenomenon that describes the tendency of innovative tech giants to eventually lose their edge and resort to manufacturing printers as a means of sustaining their business. The term is named after Hewlett-Packard (HP), one of the earliest and most innovative companies in the tech industry, which eventually became known primarily for its printers.

As companies grow and become more established, they often become more risk-averse and less focused on innovation. This can lead to a decline in their ability to stay ahead of the curve and adapt to changing market conditions. Eventually, these companies may find themselves struggling to remain relevant and profitable, and may turn to more reliable revenue streams like printer manufacturing.

Hewlett's Law serves as a cautionary tale for tech companies, reminding them of the importance of maintaining a culture of innovation and staying ahead of the curve in order to avoid becoming irrelevant and relegated to manufacturing products that are seen as commodities.
The fact that Xerox's name has become synonymous with copiers and printers is a testament to the power of Hewlett's Law and its ability to transform even the most innovative companies.
