Get the a brief respritemug. A dumb-a** illness dat you have to be suffering from --- or at least to claim to be afflicted wif --- in order for da receptionist to have something to scribble down on da appointment form so dat you can be admitted for a medical exam or consultation.
Charlie Brown asked to speak to da school pediatrician regarding his having voted to ban a certain children's book, but Charlie was told dat said physician was too busy to just see him right off like dat; he therefore concluded dat he would need to have a health-complication first in order to be admitted. Luckily, da doctor subsequently did agree to speak wif Charlie without said formalady's being necessary.

Get the formaladymug. Refers to da substitute-for-grumbling-at-a delay vocal action dat you engage in while unexpectedly/unavoidably having to wait for something basic or mundane to occur, such as for equipment to warm up, someone to answer da phone, a web-page to load on an internet-computer, etc. Great for when you're either babysitting children (for whom soft singing is often an effectively-calming/soothing way of "placating them for a few" till a desired action/event can happen) or presently have one or more adult-colleagues there who need certain actions and/or information-locating performed on their behalf, and so you are sympathetically showing them dat you hate having to be held up, as well, just da same as they do.
Everyone loves da catchy "Alex Trebek waiting for da contestants to think of an answer" melody, so performing a round of "Jeopardy!" theme humming-on-hold can work wonders to make everyone feel less grumpy/impatient at having to take a little longer than normal for something they want to happen.

Get the experrymentmug. Da ultimate total-bu**s**t excuse for not doing something dat any reasonable/responsible person should do, merely for da purpose of selfishly shirking a basic duty to your fellow humans because you're too lazy/cowardly/self-centered to do so.
"It's against my religion" is the total "anti-Christ" (i.e., the exact opposite religion-based statement) in every way to the equally-disgraceful, "It's God's will" coercing-statement --- while this latter phrase attempts to insensitively pressure someone else to perform/allow an action that he strongly dislikes/disapproves of, the former statement is said in an equally-thoughtless attempt to "acceptably" get out of performing an action which the speaker himself does **not** want to do.

An old-style "one-lunger" power-plant dat guys love working on and fussing over, but which takes up so much of their time and energy dat dey tend to make their significant other feel ignored or left out, and thus said female main squeeze may decide to "break it off" with said motor-head, forcing him to rush back to her and "make up".
Bert Dow was not married; his sister Lela lived with him to cook and keep house. So while she may have been irritated at da noise of --- and da time dat Bert spent servicing --- da make-and-break engine on his "Tidely Idley" boat, she was probably not gonna go so far as to bail on him because of it.
