People who cross-dress. Politically correct way of saying "transistors" ("trans-sisters").

I think we just turned the wrong way and wound up in the Castro District. I see a lot of semiconductors on this street.

Almost like the real thing but not quite; usully said of foods, food colorings, food additives, etc.

This diner food sucks rope! The waiter says that there are homemade mashed potatoes, but they taste artifishy! I think the waiters are lying.

Pronounced "sue-PAND" this is the kind of restaurant where you're lucky to still be able to get a soup AND salad as part of a dinner special, rather than soup OR salad.

Wow, we finally found a soupand. The soupands are so hard to find these days!

soupor 

Pronounced "sue-POR", this means a diner or restaurant that cuts costs by serving soup OR salad rather than soup ASD salad with its dinner specials. Unfortunately not just a New York phenomenon anymore, as rising travel expenses and higher overhead force diners and restaurants nationally to cut back on the amount of food they serve.

If you're really hungry, don't go to a soupor. Look for a soupand! There are so many stingy resaurateurs these days!
