dog's age

A country term referring to a period of time roughly equal to 10-15 years, but really just means a long time. Similar to coon's age.
(From "The Waterboy")
Mama: "Why you home so early, my precious angel?"
Bobby Boucher: "Mama, somethin' bad
happened today."
Mama: "Somebody hurt you, my boy? Who hurt
you? You tell Mama who hurt you."
Bobby Boucher: "Nobody, Mama. It's just that...I lost my position as the team's
water distribution engineer."
Mama: "Why, that's the best news I've heard in a dog's age. Now you be able to spend your days at home where you belong."

More head!

The rally cry of Morehead State University. Made famous during the 2009 NCAA basketball tournament (March Madness), when Morehead State was assigned to play Alabama State in the play-in game. Does not have anything to do with the "oral sex" definition of head.
(during Morehead St. vs. Alabama St. game)
Guy: "More head! More head! More head!"
Girlfriend: "What? Is once a week or so not enough for you? I can go down on you more if you want."
Guy: "What? I was just rooting for the team. Oh, you thought I meant it in that way? Well, now that you mention it...awwwww right!"

day and night

A phrase used to describe a stark difference between two things. Similar to night and day, but "day and night" implies things got worse whereas "night and day" implies things got better. Sometimes preceded by "like."
JJ Redick was the man back in college, but now that he's in the NBA, he seems content to be a bench warmer averaging 4 points a game. The difference in his performance has been day and night.

Jake: "Wow bro, it was really light out here around 3 in the afternoon, but now that it's 9:00, it's dark as hell."
Blake: "For real dude. The difference in darkness level is like day and night."

night and day

A phrase used to describe a stark difference between two things. Similar to day and night, except it implies an improvement of the situation rather than a deterioration.
Democrat: "Wow, I'm so happy that Obama is in the White House now. The difference in our country's leadership has been night and day."
Republican: "Actually it's been day and night. George W. Bush was the man."
Independent: "You're both wrong. It's been night and night. Both parties are corrupt as hell."
Libertarian: "No, I'd say it's been more of dusk and twilight."
Left-leaning moderate: "You're crazy. It's totally been dusk and dawn."
Normal person: "Seriously guys, shut up."

make off

To make a successful getaway with stolen property.
Winona Ryder would have been able to make off with $10 worth of CVS merchandise if it wasn't for that damn security alarm.

Bernie Madoff really "made off" (pun intended) with his investors' money.
