Clorification

Scrubbing with Clorox from fear of contagion.
In the midst of the pandemic scare, having spent the day with her fingers in other people's mouths, the dental hygienist gave her hands a thorough Clorification.

front seat fracas

Self-contained road rage - the fight a couple has while driving, neither looking at the other, on a trip one of them really did not want to take.
She demanded to turn around and go home. He was determined to get to the guns and ammo exposition. It could only end in a massive front seat fracas.

8 track tapeworm

A song stuck in your head, on auto-repeat since 1966.
Having blown their cash on a then-state-of-the-art sound system for the band truck, the guys only had enough to buy one tape. For the last five decades, Martha and the Vandellas had been singing endlessly in his head - "It's like a heatwave, burnin' in my hea-a-art, can't keep from a-cry-in', tearin' me apa-a-art", his personal 8 track tapeworm.
After a separation, another chance at being a couple.
After so many years as a couple, being alone again was painful for each of them. The endless blind dates and occasional hookups made them feel more alone, rather than less, and left them missing the other. Justifying the crushing of someone else's point of view, feelings, work or beliefs.

in warm blood

A crime committed, not from passion exactly, yet with some slight degree of feeling.
She was said to have murdered him in warm blood, not that she really cared whether he was sleeping with her best friend, but it irritated her to learn about it on Facebook.

temporary sanity

The notion of temporary sanity argues that a defendant was sane during the commission of a crime, but later reverted to their insanity after the criminal act was carried out. This legal defense is often used to defend individuals who have committed highly reasonable, completely normal crimes of passion which any sane person could have committed and probably would have done, given opportunity, means and motive.
My client is too crazy to have ever committed the crime with which he has been charged. He can't tell a gun from a Pez dispenser. But for one fleeting moment he wasn't himself, okay? He fell under the grip of temporary sanity and took out the most corrupt politician this country has ever know. Look at him now, wearing his MAGA hat in court. Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, he is very clearly insane.
