Dementisorri

A blend of “dementia” and “Montessori.” An approach to dementia care that uses simplified, success-based activities matched to a person’s abilities, helping them remain engaged, purposeful, and connected for as long as possible.

A 101 year old stayed engaged in Dementisorri activities for several years. Since they could not hear well or see distance and had dementia, this approach kept them busy every day they was in memory care. Each day I would set up new activities and these could be reused and changed to suit their abilities at the time.
