Derived from the phone service 'Virgin Mobile', used in the place of the word 'Virgin' in awkward situations. The opposite being 'immobile'.

"Patty, are...are you...mobile?"
"Well, actually, I had intercourse with Tom."
"So, I guess you're immobile then."
