lancer

Napoleonic era. A type of light cavalry unit that was armed with a lance. They were used to harass retreating troops. Lances had been retired, but after a group of Polish lancers defeated an entire group of British forces, many countries brought the lance back in. Some countries, like Prussia, had Uhlans, which are the same thing.

We're screwed, it's the Polish lancers!

little bird

A variant of the OH-6 Cayuse. It's a small and manueverable helicopter used by the Army's 160th Special Operations Air Regiment. It can be fitted with two "benches" on the outside to carry two people on each. It is the small helicopter in Blackhawk Down.

Those Sammys were totally owned by the little bird's miniguns!

scud

Missile produced by the Soviet Union. It was made famous by the Gulf War, not because it hit some targets, but because of how many it missed. It is completely unguided.

PSG-1

Praezisionschutzengewehr("precision shooting rifle"). Considered by many to be the most accurate semi-auto sniper rifle in the world. It was developed in response to the 1972 Munich Olympics, in which the current sniper's weapon, the G3SG1, was not accurate enough to make a good shot. It uses the same system from the G3 assault rifle, a roller-locked delayed blowback action. It has a unique fully-adjustable butt stock as well as an adjustable trigger shoe. It also comes with a specially-developed mini-tripod. It can only use one scope, that being the one issued with the rifle, a 6x42 Hensholdt scope. It has a weird form of extraction in which it flings the spent casing nearly 32 feet from the weapon, which is one reason why it isn't popular with professional armies. The other reason is that the weapon is very heavy, weighing nearly 18 pounds. All this comes at a very hefty price tag of $10,000 dollars.

The PSG-1 can easily put one right in between the eyes.

cuirassier

Napoleonic era. A type of heavy cavalry that got its name from the cuirass, the French word for breast plate. The idea was large men upon powerful horses, who were able to charge head-on into the enemy and expose and flanks or holes left in the lines of infantry after an artillery barrage. They were equipped with a cuirass, a long sword, two pistols and eventually a carbine.

After the artillery finsished its barrage, the cuirassiers charged the broken lines of infantry.

Blackhawk

The UH-60. The U.S. Army's main transport helicopter. Has variants such as the MH-60, HH-60 "Pavehawk" and the AH-60 Direct Air Penetrator.

Blackhawk Down is an awesome movie which features this helicopter getting shot down.

ak-74

A Russian assault rifle, designed by Kalishnakov, in response to the NATO 5.56x45mm round. Instead of the AK-47's 7.62x39mm round, it uses a bottle-necked 5.45x39mm round. It has many variations like the AK-47, including the ultra-short AK-74SU, developed for Russian special forces and tank crews.

My AK-74 is not real, it's just an Airsoft!
