Pi Check

When the number π signs checks and creditors decide not to cash them because they have gotten her signature on—when pi’s personality or identity is more valuable than the amount owned.
The pi check shows that a number of people would go for value rather than money, because money doesn’t calculate value, and value is often based on the wider contribution to culture or society.

The Tao of Pi

How the cleansing and healing power of the five elements—fire, water, wood, metal, earth—could open our minds and bodies to the hidden beauty or symmetry of the number π.
To truly experience, feel, or visualize pi, a pure mathematician turned Zen Master recommended his students to the tao of pi—when they might see the invisible in π with their mind’s or spiritual eye.

And Tango Makes Three

The title of a children’s book that tells the love-and-life story of two inseparable male penguins, Roy and Silo, that successfully hatched an egg to welcome chick Tango in their world—they took turns to nurture her by feeding her, cuddling her in their nest, and taking her for a swim with the other penguin families.
“And Tango Makes Three” was originally classified as nonfiction as it’s based on a true story, but it’s later reclassified as a picture book as the publisher felt that more children should have access to the title—the “adult” book was later challenged but retained, or banned, in a number of school libraries, in red states.

Moonshot Math

Hard math projects that would require the best of talents and skills from both mathematicians and math educators regionally or globally, as their monumental effort aims to positively impact the community or society.
Just as landing someone on the moon propelled and produced unprecedented payoffs and unpredictable spinoffs, by creating entirely new markets and industries, solving moonshot math problems has the potential of giving birth to new products and new businesses, and creating new jobs.

Hacking Heaven

When the laity would donate cash; cryptocurrencies and NFTs; prized items like gold, diamond, coins, stamps, and paintings; and properties, so that the clergy could intercede for them before God to have their sins and those of their loved ones forgiven—generous or ostentatious donations on a regular basis would only set in motion a bountiful reward on high, be it material or/and spiritual blessings.
To upgrade the status of deceased family members from hell to purgatory, or from purgatory to heaven, the “political messiah” is encouraging his ultra-MAGA patriots to go to his “anointed” or “Vatican-approved” website to buy indulgences or “get-out-of-hell tickets” for them, and also for their own future sins—he’s hacking heaven by resurrecting or normalizing the banned spiritual practice of the Church.

Corona Vigilante

Those who think they have the moral authority to take pictures of those who break the lockdown rules during the coronavirus crisis, then post them online to shame the culprits, and in some cases to drag them out of their homes to beat or kill them.
On religious or superstitious grounds, corona vigilantes around the world are taking the law into their own hands during the lockdowns to expose and shame the lawbreakers.

When more Trumpublican parents and patriots, who believed the 2020 election was stolen from ex-President Trump, are pushing their lawmakers to fine or revoke the licences of state bookstores that sell Singapore math textbooks and workbooks, and also to ban these oft-brain-unfriendly but wallet-friendly titles in local schools, because these foreign K–12 math publications are allegedly detrimental to the mental health of local math-anxious or low self-esteem students.
The MAGA-fication of Singapore math has failed to prevent tens of thousands of homeschoolers in red states every year from ordering value-for-money math titles from the “fine” city for their children, who’re often bored or unchallenged by their dear inch-deep, mile-wide thick colorful math textbooks.
