Caboose
1. A small railroad car that was traditionally attached to the rear end of freight trains. It served several important functions, primarily providing a workspace and living quarters for the train crew, including the conductor and brakemen. a caboose typically featured windows for crew members to observe the train's condition and surroundings. CVT
A Continuously Variable Transmission is a type of automatic transmission that doesn't have the typical "gears" like a regular manual or automatic transmission. Instead, it uses a system of pulleys and a belt (or sometimes a chain) to provide an infinite number of gear ratios. This allows the engine to operate at its most efficient speed, meaning the car can accelerate smoothly without the noticeable "shifts" you feel in traditional automatics. In practice, this means you won't hear or feel your car shifting gears when you speed up or slow down, which can lead to a more comfortable ride and better fuel efficiency. However, some drivers dislike the sensation of a CVT because it can feel like the engine is revving high without the car immediately matching that with increased speed. CVTs are commonly found in hybrid cars, compact cars, and increasingly in SUVs, where the benefits of fuel economy and smooth driving are highly valued. But generally CVTs are not good because they are not good uphills, They are NOT reliable (for example nissan) and when they do break down, it’s very expensive to repair due to its complex mechanical system.
