MLM

Abbreviation for Multi-Level Marketing, a business model in which marketers are paid commissions on the sales of other marketers that they recruit, as well as on their own sales. To qualify as MLM, the business plan must actually focus upon selling a marketable product or service.
Business and marketing n00bs frequently confuse MLM with pyramid schemes, a business model that focuses on paying bonuses for recruiting people, rather than commissions on sales, because the criminals who start pyramid schemes like to scam n00bs and flatter themselves by calling their schemes MLM. They may even pretend to operate an MLM business by forcing marketers to stockpile unmarketable products to pretend they are selling it.

Anyone who calls a pyramid scheme MLM helps the scammers trick their victims.

biopiracy

The inhumanely arrogant practice of patenting naturally occurring substances and organisms, and those developed long ago by other people - making customary practices such as growing crops and conceiving babies patent violations.
Patenting human genes is an act of biopiracy that makes it impossible for Australian Aborigines and African bush people to have babies without violating those patents.

In the year 2000, the Indian government found it necessary to file 50,000 pages of scientific evidence against a 1997 American biopiracy patent on Basmati rice.

monopoly

Monopoly: A bored, (pardon the Freudian slip), game.

monopoly: A legal concept that has been legislated out of existence by attorneys, judges, and legislators. Now that all legal definitions of monopoly are unlawful, simply understand this: When a corporation is so big that it doesn't need to worry about whether consumers like doing business with it, because they have no choice, it's a monopoly.
No please, let's not play Monopoly.

Folsom

1. A much-maligned burb of Sacramento. It is the locale of the Folsom State Prison, which, contrary to a daffynition written by a prospective inmate from Hellay, is not named Pelican Bay.

2. A location in New Mexico near which the Folsom Man and Folsom Point were discovered. The man lived during an ice age, and the point is considered to be the most advanced stone age spear point ever discovered.

3. A community in Louisiana from which a serial arsonist waged a campaign of at least 70 arsons.
1. I'm not sure why peeps whine so much about Folsom, when Sacratormento is so close. Is it because their Daddies are in the slammer, or is it because their Daddies work at the slammer and come home every night and take out their frustrations on them?

2. When archaeologists found a Folsom Point embedded in the bone of a woolly mammoth, they were finally able to prove that man lived during the ice age.

3. It's not like Louisiana had enough problems after Katrina, is it? They had to have a serial arsonist too.
