Green light

Ahh helllzzz no....
To have the GREEN LIGHT is to be given the ALL CLEAR by the Australian police to conduct your criminal business, usually in exchange for money or information. The 'green light' is often given to high profile hitmen who specialise in killing crime bosses or important drug dealer's who pay money or give information in exchange for immunity.
One such case was seen in the 80's when the 'green light' was given by corrupt cop Roger Rogerson to notrious criminal and drug dealer Neddy Smith. A movie 'Blue Murder' was subsequently based on this.
The 'green light' is a very powerful but dangerous tool, for both the police and any criminal who recieves it. The probem for criminals such as Neddy is that the light can be turned 'red' at any moment.
"Man, I got busted by the cops the other day but they gave me the 'green light' to continue selling."

This is used in three situations.
1. When a dangerous explosion is about to forceably destruct anything in its path. Said before diving or getting the fuck out of there.
2. Before lighting up a bong.
3. Song number 16 from Method Man and Redman's CD BLACKOUT!
1. Throw the grenade, yell 'fire inda hole' and hide!
2. Spark up the lighter, open your eyes wide and holla 'fire inda hole'.
3. "Shell shock, soldier in the trenches,
'fire inda hole'!
Game commences, third straight rapper play the benches."

To flirt and attempt to get a girl to be attracted to you. Has no real derivation, but I sometimes think of it as tuning the girl to your station, not disimilar from a radio.
The act of 'tuning' ceases the moment you kiss the girl or a relationship is formed.
A 'tune mission' is going for a walk, mission or outing with the aim of meeting, tuning and hopefully scoring with hot chicks.
"I've been tuning Kate lately."
"Let's go for a tune mission."
