2-Iodothiophene (TP-I, Thiopheyl iodide, 2-ThioPhenyl iodide) is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of TP2P (ThioPhenyl-2-Propanone, 2-Thienylacetone). 2-Iodothiophene can react with ethyl acetoacetate and sodium ethoxide using CuI (Copper Iodide) and then reacted with hydrochloric acid and heated. 2-Iodothiophene can also undergo grignard reactions to obtain TP2Pol (ThioPhenyl-2-Propanonl, 2-Thienylisopropanol).
2-Iodothiophene has been obtained by addition of half of 50% aqueous nitric acid dropwise to a mixture of iodine and thiophene with vigorous stirring. As soon as the evolution of gases subsided the rest of the aqueous nitric acid was added to the reaction mixture and refluxed for 30 min. The organic layer was separated and steam distilled to obtain 2-iodothiophene.
Iodination of thiophene with iodine and mercuric oxide at 0°C gave a mixture of 2-iodothiophene (70%) and 2,5-diiodothiophene. 2-Iodothiophene has been exclusively obtained by nitrating thiophene with a mixture of iodine and nitric acid at 90°C. An easy approach for iodination of thiophene is the reaction of iodine with lithiated thiophene.

Tony: I iodinated thiophene using nitric acid and slowly added it, then refluxed it for 30 minutes at 90 °C. I obtained 2-Iodothiophene.

Often refers to caffeine. Sometimes, it can refer to prolintane, hydrafinil(fluorenol), sunifiram and phenylpiracetam. Most often, though, it refera to caffeine.
I had an energy drink and prolintane and was hyper for hours. This stuff is the nerd nectar of videogamers and overachievers everywhere.

TP-MeCl is ThioPhenyl-Methyl Chloride (or Thiobenzyl chloride, TB-Cl). It is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of TP2P (ThioPhenyl-2-Propanone) through a grignard reaction of Thiophenylmethylmagnesium chloride with acetonitrile and hydrochloric acid work-up. TP-MeCl is made by chloromethylation of Thiophene (TP-H, TPH, Thiophene, Thiophenyl Hydride).

Benzophenone (Diphenylmethanone) is a chemical compound used in the synthesis of other chemicals, research chemicals, and pharmaceuticals, such as Diphenylmethanol, Diphenylmethyl Bromide, Adrafinil, Modafinil, and N-Methyl-Modafinil.
Tony: I synthesized N-Methyl-Modafinil by using diphenylmethyl bromide. I reduced diphenylmethanone (Benzophenone) by using aluminum galinstan and dissolved in methylcyclohexane and filtered it, then reacted the diphenylmethanol with hydrobromic acid and zinc chloride catalyst to get diphenylmethyl bromide. I then used it to synthesize N-Methyl-Modafinil by using Sodium Thioglycolate (obtained by reacting Thioglycolic acid and sodium hydroxide.).

P2NP2 is Phenyl-2-NitroPropane, not Phenyl-2-NitroPropene. It's made by reducing Phenyl-2-NitroPropene with Sodium Borohydride in ethanol. P2NP2 can be converted to P2P (Phenyl-2-Propanone). Phenyl-2-Propanone is a precursor to Ethylamphetamine.
I converted P2NP2 to P2P.
