Joe Barton is the fuckwit who, during his opening remarks at congressional hearings on the BP Oil spill actually apologized to Tony Hayward!! Barton thought the Obama Administration treated the BP C.E.O. unfairly after his company caused the worst environmental disaster in American history! Most people were annoyed because Obama didn't deal more harshly with Hayward and BP, but not this Big Oil Texan.

Get the Joe Bartonmug. The eight long years from Jan. 20, 1981-Jan. 20,1989. The Republican president, Ronald Wilson Reagan worked hard as commander in chief in the war on the middle class. The heinous eCONomic policy called "trickle down economics" or Reganomics cut taxes on the big businesses and the rich. This shifted the tax burden to the middle class and tripled the national debt. Dennis Miller described "trickle down" best when he acknowledged this truth: "they admit it-- they're gonna piss on you!"
Along with the terrible eCONomic policy, Ronald Reagan worked to destroy unions (remember air traffic controllers' strike?) During the Reagan Administration, the U.S. backed Saddam Hussein during his war with Iran and helped to establish the Taliban to help Afganistan fight off the Soviet Union. (Funny how the G.O.P. changed course on this)

With the increasing influence of talk radio and so-called new commentators, there is more vitriolic argumenting and shouting than ever. People like Sarah Palin,Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Ann Coulter and Mike Savage are ranting and raving like complete idiots. These people tear down and make up lies about people they disagree with rather than offer any solutions to the problems we face.
This toxic political atmosphere is making political campaigns longer, meaner, dirtier and more expensive every year.

Anyone who pays attention to politics should realize that there are many reasons to fear the rise of the Palin patriots. As seen during the 2008 presidential campaign, Sarah Palin is frighteningly ignorant of global issues and totally clueless about how government works. She has a cult of clueless fuckwits followers that call themselves the tea party.
These scary people want to undo all of the progress made in the last 50 years!
