Chance Time Twist

A random event in a game that hands a bad player the win.
The game was nearing its end...
All sings pointed to Arle winning, and everyone accepted the fact happily. She performed well in minigames and made smart decisions.
But then...
On the last turn, the most productive property was given to a random player... and that player was Birdo, who kept investing in watermills.
The game ended at that moment, and when the points were calculated, Birdo was deemed the winner.
Birdo was obviously happy, but everyone else in the room, including Arle, muttered three words:
"Chance Time Twist".
