Ross job shamed Rachel as "just a waitress" when deciding whether or not to date her.

Having done an action in spite of someone not being there to witness it.

My husband's action permanence is non-existent. He questioned whether I had actually cleaned the bathroom because he wasn't there to see it. What does he need from me, a video?

When you hear someone coughing and think it sounds like something that could start the Zombie Apocalypse.

Last night I went to the store and everyone was Zombie Coughing and had to get out of there before I caught the plague.

Column Effect

When you’re charged more for home repairs or anything when someone sees that you have columns on your house.

When the contractor gave us an estimate for a job, it was 20% more just because of the column effect.

Review Curve

An annual review where you were told in person you were great, outstanding, etc. and then receive a "medium" written review because the "Review Curve" says that you can't give it to more than one person on your team.

Although my boss said I was an outstanding employee last year in the review meeting, I got review curved and received a "3" on my annual review.
