2000muncie's definitions
Meaningless, unnewsworthy slop material with no impact on the broader community, passed off as news for an educational assignment or organization.
Unlike a news story, which focuses on an action and an impact of that action, linkslop focuses on one person only and what they make. In non-slang, this is typically referred to as a puff piece or a fluff piece. Linkslop has no contribution to you, your friends, your neighbors, or a stranger.
The name comes after Ball State University's live newscast, NewsLink Indiana, which excessively (sometimes exclusively) produces linkslop for its programs.
Not to be confused with AI slop--unlike AI, linkslop is artisinal, albeit arguably worse as it's from a news source that should be reputable.

Person 1: "Have you watched the campus newscast?"
Person 2: "Nah, I'd rather keep paying for cable than watching linkslop. I want to know what's happening in the community!"

Get the linkslop mug.To be illiterate, uninelligent, or act like you know nothing, but stand by what you said or wrote so much that you unreasonably believe you're being persecuted for your religious beliefs
Oh no, my final exam is due tomorrow and I didn't study! Might as well pull a Fulnecky and write "Jesus" as the answer on all my questions. If I don't get an A, I'm being persecuted!

Get the Fulnecky mug. When you're exposed cheating by the band Coldplay, the creators of the hit single "Yellow," at one of their concerts.
On July 16th 2025, at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot were caught yellow-handed by the band.

Get the coldplayed mug.A very strong unbreakable belief in an event in a sequence, despite there being no evidence. Elon Musk made this word up.
Unlike the factual "then," it implies a strong but baseless belief in events occurring sequentially. Instead of mentioning a fact in a sequence of events (ex: "They woke up, then they got ready for the day"), this word shows a belief, a strong belief that something has happened sequentially, despite that belief having no backing or being provably false (ex: "They went from waking up normally to milquetoastedly becoming the reincarnate of Jesus Christ").
Currently, the made-up word is now commonly being used among Republicans and conspiracy theorists.

Elon Musk's tweet: "Green Day goes from raging against the machine to milquetoastedly raging for it."
A generic example: "I went from buying Twitter for $44 billion to milquetoastedly doubling its value."
Note how both of these statements are clearly false as fuck. The word is only used in a sequence as a thing that someone strongly believes, despite there being contradicting evidence or no evidence at all.
