hilbilly heroin

Slang for the prescrpition pain reliever Oxy-Contin. Oxy-Contin allegedly has highly addictive qualities, and is a common narcotic in rural areas.

Dave blew his entire paycheck on hillbilly heroin.

dopefish

Originally an enemy character from Apogee's "Commander Keen" series of videogames. The dopefish was slow, stupid, and always hungry. The dopefish is now a regularly occurring cameo and easter egg within other software, games, and even television shows.

Teh dopefish appears in Quake, Daikatana, and Max Payne

assault weapon

Term coined by Violence Policy Center head Josh Sugarmann to describe cililian semiautomatic firearms with a military or fearsome appearance, yet no more lethality than lesser weapons. Derived from the term "assault rifle", which means a fully automatic, selective fire rate firearm used my military and police personnel.

"Assault weapons' menacing looks, coupled with the public's confusion over fully-automatic machine guns versus semi-automatic assault weapons --anything that looks like a machine gun is assumed to be a machine gun-- can only increase the chance of public support for restrictions on these weapons."

NSF56K

Short for "Not Safe For 56 Kbaud Modems". Tagline abbreviation added to an internet forum post (or other missive) to warn of massive attachment size, which a normal analog phone modem may be incapable of coping with.

fart cannon

A disproportionately large muffler or exhaust pipe, mounted on an automobile with a small displacement engine. Named for the flatulence like sound the vehicle's exhaust makes.

A six inch fart cannon attached to a 1 inch tailpipe? Don't tell me. You've seen The Fast and the Furious at least once, right?

skiddies

1. Stains left in the seat undergarments. See also: "Skid Marks" and "Bacon Strip"

2. A contraction of "Script Kiddies". Script Kiddies are inexperienced young hackers that use programming scripts (Login, Visual Basic, et. al.) for malevolent ends.

1. Whoah! You scared the bejeezus out of me. Hold on. I gotta check my shorts for skiddies.

2. I can't believe a bunch of Skiddies got into my website and messed it up.
