There's misinformation, and then there's shitformation. Shitformation is exponentially poor misinformation. It is usually derived from instances in which one merely seeks to placate the masses by providing information that would have better served its purpose unsaid.

Information that appears meaningful or credible on the surface, but collapses under scrutiny due to lack of depth, rigor, or context. Often confidently cited by people who read the headline, skimmed the abstract, or misunderstood the graph.

Subinformation
(Not to be confused with "Misinformation")

An inaccurate fact or statement said either consciously or subconsciously, usually when the speaker knows the real truth or struggles to keep up with objective reality in the moment, often with the intent to express their inner world to others as an emotional release from pressure or inner conflict, rather than to deceive or harm.

The intent of Subinformation often needs to be clarified afterward to avoid confusion or misinterpretation.

- "My brain took a second to catch up. It was just Subinformation, it really feels true to me, but heres the real answer..."
