All Availability Rule

Regardless of their own status, men are fundamentally averse to encouraging a relationship between any woman and any other man.
Girl: "I love what you and Jane have together. I want that. I should say yes to Jim."
Guy: "No you shouldn't. He's a jerk. I hear he has done time and is $200k in debt."

Girl walks away dejected

Guy 2: "Why did you do that?"
Guy: "All Availability Rule. Never know when I may need her single"

availability heuristic

A type of heuristic (mental shortcut, as opposed to algorithm) that involves using the most mentally immediate information.

Alternatively, a shortcut in mate selection in which one chooses whoever happens to be available.
I fell prey to my availability heuristic in deciding which restaurant to go to. Subway again, I guess.

Aperture of Availability (AoA)

noun

A specific time frame or condition during which resources, opportunities, or services are accessible or obtainable. : AoA
Please let me know if any further attention is needed on this project. I have many other tasks I could get to this week before my vacation. I need to prioritize, but it depends on my Aperture of Availability (AoA).

Murphy's Law of Staff-Availability

"If you have to request assistance/advice from a store/office-employee, you will be obliged to wander all over da place and "search till Doomsday" to find someone who is not presently too occupied to listen to you. Yet once you finally receive your answer, THEN there will be ABSOLUTE MULTITUDES OF PERSONNEL just lounging around and making themselves available, and so you will feel like a total JACKA** for not having simply waited a few more minutes to ask your question, rather than wearing out your feet and legs from running all over da shop to find someone to ask!"
I spent over five minutes scampering up and down the aisles at Wally-World trying to find a "free" employee to ask about the availability of a certain product, but then afterwards, there were several non-busy staffpeople whom I met en-route back to my shopping-cart whom I could have asked just as easily at that point --- talk about a classic case of Murphy's Law of Staff-Availability! :P :P
