Get the Turkeymug. A country that is the bridge that connects Europe and Asia, and lays in Anatolia. Its descendant is the great Ottoman Empire, and when it was falling apart, the country was liberalized to be the Turkish Republic by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, also known as M. Kemal Pasha. The Turkish version of the country name is “Türkiye” and it is debated in Turkey that the English version should be transformed into “Turkiye” because of the exact word for the bird type, “turkey”, and its offence to some Turkish people.
Turkey isn’t just kebab and turkish delight with a bunch of Ottoman people, it is a European and modern country with many problems because of its jeopolitical position.
