Etymology (Latin + Greek)

doxo- (Gr. doxa δόξα) = opinion, reputation, public judgment
racismo- (Latinate racismus) = racism (keeps the modern referent clear)
-phobia (Gr. phóbos φόβος) = fear

The 2014 Independent Inquiry found that doxoracismophobia paralyzed multiple UK agencies: officers feared that investigating the predominantly Pakistani grooming gangs would ‘look racist,’ allowing abuse of ~1,400 children to continue unchecked.
