On weekends n' stuff, y'kno..

Something you answer with if you really don't give a shit for a question you were just asked, or if you don't want to give a legit answer, you just say "On weekends n' stuff" and you can occasionally add in "y'kno.." depending on how you feel about the situation. If they continue to question you, just force in another "y'kno/you know..."

bob: Hey, is it true you hooked up with Jane?
Fred: On weekends n' stuff, y'kno..
Bob: What?
Fred: you know...

y'know

In southern regions, a conjunction of the words 'you' and 'know' - typically used either at the beginning of a sentence when either stating a fact or opinion, or to begin a question. Also used at the end of a sentence, when looking for confirmation that the listener understands or agrees with the statement.

"Y'know, I was going to fix that truck this weekend"
"Y'know how to get to i95 from here?"
"People in this world have gone crazy, y'know?"

A filler-word used in speech, especially when one is nervous. Used often by guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong in interviews.

Can be replaced with like, and stuff, um and sorta.

Time Magazine: 'How do you respond to people who say that Green Day isn't punk anymore? Have you changed your style in response to naysayers?'

Billie Joe Armstrong: 'The thing about any genre of music, if it's punk, if it's blues or jazz, there's... y'know or straight up rock n' roll...'

Y'know ahmen

A phrase uttered by select persons every ten seconds. Akin to "ummm" which is used by many people. AKA, a filler phrase.

"Y'know ahmen, that's not what I'm talking about."

"You have to do it this way, y'know ahmen?"

Has recently become an over-used preface to completely unrelated following statement, typically used by stiff, grey people in a self-defeating attempt to appear individual or at least interesting. Fail

Building Surveyor to Client: "...blah, blah, drone. And y'know what? I said we'll be making new law!"
Client: "Zzzzz"
Building Surveyor: "I'm a senior director"
