wearable tech

A device which can act and/or function as a PDA, Tablet or other computer aided device.

This may include the ability to receive, view and send tweets and emails; browse and update facebook, set reminders and mark special events, as well as GPS navigation.

Some wearable tech may also feature a variety of tools for the more health conscious users. This typically consists of a pedometer to track and record how many steps the user has taken; tracking their calorie intake and how many calories they are burning and measuring their pulse and heart rate during the course of the day.

Some examples of wearable tech includes Google Glass; the Pebble; Samsung's Galaxy Gear and Razer's Nabu Smart Band
Phil: You hear about Ted getting on the "Wearable Tech" bandwagon?
Mike: Yeah, I saw him showing off his new Pebble.
Phil: I personally got better things to do with my money. I'm not going pay to be some faceless corporation's sales ad guinea pig.
Mike: You said it.

Who Are You Wearable?

Taken from real life walks on the red carpet for gala events. Prominent attendees are asked Who Are You Wearing? This refers to a specific fashion designer of a dress or any outfit that person maybe wearing.

In the metaverse world (decentraland, sandbox, etc.) articles of clothing are called wearables. So when asking Who Are You Wearable, you are asking or being asked who designed your avatars clothes. This can include shoes, jewelry, body parts such as eyes or hair, hats, and many other accessories. Knowing who designed the item gives designers exposure and others can then search for their collection in a NFT marketplace.
Person #1: Hey, I love that look. Who are you wearable?

Person #2: Thanks. I got it from Goldi Lox. She has some great wearables. You should see her collection.

(Goldi Lox is an actual wearable designer. You can find her wearables in the decentraland marketplace)
A toe rag was originally a foot wrapping used, since mediaeval times up until the mid-nineteenth century, to protect the foot from chafing by boots or shoes. As these were, quite literally, rags they weren’t usually washed, and so with use they became very smelly until they were thrown away. Because of the similarity in smell, toe rag also became the name applied to dried, salted cod or other things with a strong, unpleasant, fishy smell. It didn’t take that long before the name was applied to someone who was an obnoxious, unpleasant OIC.
1 “Socks! Those aren’t socks you smelly git, they’re toe rags!”
2 “What have you been cooking? Smells like toe rag!”
3 “I can smell ‘er fanny from ‘ere, proper toe rag.”
4 That Heale Malcolm is a right toe rag.

Eternity leave

When some resigns or retires from a job, they are on "eternity leave". This can also refer to someone who has passed away, especially someone who worked somewhere for a long time, retired/resigned, then passed away later.
Oh I'm sorry, you didn't know that Kelly is on eternity leave? She resigned and moved to Hawaii!

With regrets I would like to inform you that my boss is officially on eternity leave. I will never see or hear them again. Ever.
