1) The lighter versions of the "pure" colors, made by adding more light, are called tints
2) The hue adjustment on a television 3) Window tint is the special designed film put on the inside of windows, often seen on limos and famous peoples cars. The tint is rated in percent where 0% is nothing and so on, and with a high percent of tint you can't look through the window from the outside but you can look from inside out, as if it was huge sunglasses.

A type of film that is applied to the inside of a cars windows to make them darker. Tint has many benefits including more privacy, UV protection (so your car interior doesn't fade as fast), and it'll keep your car cooler on the hotsummer days. Tint is measured in percentage, the lower the percentage the darker the tint.
Also very commonly referred to incorrectly as "tints" by idiots who don't know the difference between singular and plural. Usually the same people that call geese "gooses".
