African river dancer is a term used to describe dancers that clap their hands and stomp their feet in an attempt to achieve a percussion like beat.
example one: (in the theaters) "Stomp the Yard", "How She Move"
example two: (at high school during a pep rally) "Oh man, look at all those african river dancers goin at it in the gym, yo!"
