A beautiful town, probably the MOST beautiful town in all of the luxurious Fairfield County. Its charming Main Street is lined with a plethora of clothing boutiques, restaurants of fine dining, pricey jewelry stores, glamorous flower shops, expensive hair salons, expensive toy stores, and fine wine shops. If you cannot already tell, this town and ALL of it's people (even the Ridgefield "poor") are extremely wealthy in comparison with the rest of the country as well as CT’s seven other counties. This wealth is evident everywhere you look. It is especially evident in the houses as well as in the people. Many of the houses are old colonial homes or either newly built custom-designed multi-million dollar mansions. The people also carry around an air of pretension, though a majority of Ridgefield’s residents are welcoming. Since the children have a lot of money (both from their parents and jobs they are forced to get to learn responsibility) they are able to afford pricey drugs such as heroin and cocaine, as well as a wide assortment of alcoholic beverages. Though this is a problem, as Fairfield County is the nation’s county with the highest drug and alcohol consumption, it can be overlooked by the great achievements made by the town’s students. Some achievements are that a good percentage of the high school seniors each year are accepted and sent off to Ivy League schools, anything lower than a 1300 on the SATs is considered terrible, and many state championships are won, especially in Soccer, Hockey, Lacrosse, Cross-country and skiing. But this is obviously because the parents can afford expensive private tutors for both academics and athletics. Oh and every next person drives a Jeep, it's a fact of life!

Most Ridgefielders are white and wealthy; however, there are families (like mine) who drive a normal car, make less than six figures, both parents work, kid works, have values, try to understand the world. The high school is competitive, but high schools have forever been populated by popular jocks, drinkers/druggies, and everyone else who feels left out. Ridgefield is like many other burbs; just more so.

Everyone here that writes that Ridgefield is a wealthy town is right, yeah we have money, but we don't have houses worth as some would say "35 million dollars". Ridgefield is terribly over priced, and some people that live here just barely get by on the money they have.
No one sees anything other than the kids good grades and achievments in sports. No one cares about the art shows or anything other than the football games. Our school has way too much team spirit for its own good.
The only reason you would want to raise kids here is if you want them to have a good future and get into a good school.
Sure some of the gurls are sluts and some kids do drugs, but most people in Ridgefield think we do more drugs just because they haven't left this little "bubble" that Ridgefield is and seen the real outside world.
But to everyone saying that the highschool is one of the best is misinformed. We aren't even a blue ribbon school, so we aren't even close to the best.
The Cheerleaders are losers and the girls on the dance team are whores. The jocks are meat heads, and thats about it.

Pretty much a white town with like one black family if you want to search. The people there are total asses to each other, and if one person doesn't like the other, they get SOO mad.
Everyone there has a house at least $500,000 or more. It's run by Marconi, and no one else will run against him, so he wins every time. Ridgefield has like 3 hang-out places, and the teenagers hang out in large herds in a parking lot of either Genoa, CVS, or Dunkin Donuts.
The cops there are as bored as hell, they can't seem to find any sort of crime except when a teen has like >0.1oz of alcohol.
Every person there has tried pot, and some smoke on a regular basis. The parents are rich, and give all their kids an allowance of more than $15/day. Some families actually have a normal amount of money, and don't own a beach house in Florida and Rhode Island.
All of the people there ski or snowboard, and they go to Vermont every other day. Most don't feel like actually doing anything in school, and their parents have no discipline. If you have less than a 4.0 gpa, you're stupid. Also, all the stores are closed by 7pm, so that pretty much kills all the night life.
Ridgefield is nice to live in, if you're a popular, white, rich kid who looks down on everyone and plays football.

A southwestern Connecticut town of about 25,000, known to kids who live there as "the Ridge". Not as preppy as Greenwich, not as wealthy as Darien. There is no crime, so the cops just dick around all day and bust house parties at night. You either hang out at Genoa (italian restaurant), or if you like cutting yourself you hang out by Dunkin. Then you drive around for two hours and end up at someones house right before it gets busted. But if you think there's nothing going on in Ridgefield, just check out any of the nearby towns - Redding, Wilton, Weston, Bethel - theres even less happening. It's Connecticut, dude.
The kids aren't any different from your average connecticut kids, except maybe a little richer. So yes they're preppy, mostly white and probably dont know what hit them the first time they leave their bubble, but theyre not all assholes. Weed is easy to get, alcohol isn't as easy but thats fine cause they steal it from their parents' liquor cabinets anyway.
Ridgefield High School is legit and is consistently ranked in the top 15 high schools in CT. Anyone who has said otherwise, look it up retard. A decent percentage of kids make it to the Ivy league every year. A lot more go to UConn or WestConn.
Otherwise, nothing really special about this town. The people who diss it are probably from Wilton or just have a stick up their ass. I could write about the Battle of Ridgefield or some historical shit, but thats kinda gay.
